Guys and Gals,

I just opened a Ameritrade account, I have and will also conitue to use my Scottrade account. I have a couple of questions about Ameritrade. Can you not get stock news even delayed news without a 29.99 news subscription on the trading screen Command 2.0? Also, what is the overall general feeling of Ameritrade? I signed up for the 9.99 level II qoutes and I like that.

anything to look out for or features you all like i should check out?

I like it, I was a TDW customer for years and I've enjoyed some great benefits of the Ameritrade combo. Most trades at market value are executed within 5 seconds....real cool. The streaming tools are awesome. Personally, I didn't see any benefit to the L2 sub, too pricey and the streaming tools give you just about the same info for free. As far as news, I just refresh the indivdual company pages once in a while, they are pretty quick to get it on those pages.

One great benefit (and problem), when their website has ANY problems, call them and complain. They will give you some free trades, but it kind of sucks having to wait on the phone....but I don't mind waiting for $100. LOL :D

OH, this post is probably better suited in the general forum. Hopefully one of the mods will move it. Keep that in mind for the future. ;)

Login, on the top menu bar, select: TRADING TOOLS>STREAMING TOOLS>COMMAND CENTER 2.0.

From there, you're on your own because there's WAY too much for me describe. You'll just have to play around with it to learn it like I did. There's a nice help feature too. I like it because it gives you real-time data on all the trades for a particular stock....great when your flipping.
