I have been watching CSCO for 10 years. It is one of 500 of Americas Biggest Companies. They Manufacture and sell networking and communication products used to transport data, voice and video, accross the street, or around the world and provides services associated with that equiment. They did that by buying smaller companyies and incorporating into the CSCO company. On 7/12/07 they brokeout the multiyear high of 29.97. I belive it will continue to rise till the end of this year. Techs are booming right now.
67% is held by instutions
1.1 % held by insiders
Market cap is 181,651,962,855
Trading average daily is 48,610,200
It can swing during the day. I channel trade it.
Its been way higher than it is right now and I think it will rise again.

Love CSCO, I've owned it for about 8 years and now I'm riding free shares. :) Only reason I dumped is no dividend, all my long term holds must pay me dividends or they're out....decided this a year ago and it's paid-off (pun intended). :)

Indeed! I sold before the tech bubble burst and rebought about $18, then sold off as the price went up and kept my freebies. I wish I didn't sell, but I needed the money to finance some other stocks....which I'm glad I did....think XOM baby! :D

If your still watching CSCO and it breaks $30. It will continue. But its resistance is just below it. XOM is a real expensive stock. But I hope it goes up for you.

I havent looked at this one in year. I was in it in the 'good old days' when you could count on at least one split every 10 months or so. Ended up loosing a lot of money.

I just turned green recently my self. But I believe it will go up till the end of the year.

Today it went thru the $30.00 mark. So If I am right (and we will find out soon) it should continue to rise. (I hope, I hope)

Smart buy. I hate Chambers, he can kiss my arse. I blame him for starting the NASDAQ sell-off with his comments last year. :-||

No, but I think it's a very solid play if you're willing to wait. One nice little spark of good news will get it up again. Look at the chart....it's begging to move up. Technically, it's primed, it's oversold with no real strong resistance until $23.32. Buy now, put in a sell order at $23, and wait. You'll make $3/share but I don't know how long you'll have to wait. It might be until 2-3 quarters when guidance changes.

New dividend! News:

March 18 (Bloomberg) -- Cisco Systems Inc., the world’s largest maker of networking equipment, said its first cash dividend ever will be 6 cents a share, aiming to give a boost to investors after the shares fell 35 percent in the past year.

The dividend will be paid April 20 to shareholders of record on March 31, the company said today in a statement. The company said in September it plans to start a dividend.

Cisco, which competes against companies such as Juniper Networks Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co., posted a profit margin last month that missed analysts’ estimates after it spent more to develop products and competitors undercut it on prices. Cisco had about $40 billion in cash and short-term investment as of January.

Cisco rose as much as 48 cents, or 2.8 percent, to $17.48 in trading before U.S. exchanges opened, after closing at $17 in Nasdaq Stock Market trading yesterday.

CSCO gapped on good earnings. Previoulsy CSCO crumbled down on a bearish head and shoulders pattern. Not a play for me at this point but putting it on a watch list.
