Over on the other board we had a 500$ experiment, and here i would be interested if we could start like a journal part of the board, where people sort of blog their strategies, plays, goals, etc.

I am sure some people aren't too sure telling people how much $$ they make per play, have in their account, and such so things like that can be kept hidden from members unless you choose to reveal.

Like i said its sort of like the 500$ experiment, people can check in, see how you are doing compared to your goals and such.

I was thinking we get our own section.

Like a progress thread, each member who wants, can start their own thread separate from others can see what this person is doing without searching through tons of posts.

You know what i mean?

Seeing how this is what originally got me hooked...

I started out in the stock market by doing a search on the boards, and stumbled across the $500 experiment. I was quite intrigued, and from that found the TDCP thread on MM. And from there it snowballed, and now here I am, with a nice position in TDCP just waiting for the magic to happen...woohoo!

Kuzami, another $500 experiment thread?

Or your own thread stating your goals, your plays, your reasoning, and anything else you want to post.

No reason to only have one, i like the journal idea, i also liked the 500$ experiment.

how about a forum called 'stock play experiments & journals"... actually saw a thread that was an $80-$1000 dollar experiment over at another forum that caught my attention b/c most tend to think you need at least $500 and this person proved you didn't but after he got up to around $500 he did lose it all and is having to start over lol....

Thanks for the invite to participate in this new thread but part of the reason I gave up on the 500.00 expirement is that I could not follow the market with as much attention that was required for short term plays, due to going back to work. I think that if the thread was more on the order of Swing plays lasting from say 1 to six months I could probably handle that quite easily but anything shorter I just do not have the ability to follow the market close enough to be a viable participant. I am currently long in GRTE, I got in at 1.72 and it is currently at 1.99 and plan on getting out if it reaches 2.20 or if it pulls back more than 3% of the current level.

When one spends most of the day working and cannot watch the market long term plays are where it will make it happen for you.

Very true Disq, and im sorry you cant be around.

But, goto the new board that was created, and start up your own progress report as i did.

Doesnt have to be much, but i think its a good place for people to watch how others are doing.

I know other forums i am a part of (not stock related) have these personal reports and they are very helpful.

Good luck with everything, and you should quit your job and start trading :D

Oh if it was so easy to just quite my job but bills do have to be paid and for that one has to earn a pay check. I did think of a name for the thread and thought you might want to think about it " The Long and Short of the Market"

I'm just kidding, if you were able to I'm sure you would pay attention to the market more.

Sometimes life doesn't allow it. I hope you find yourself trading more though :D
