This one decided to run today on HEAVY volume. I got in at .006
The share structure is a little fuzzy and varies depending on where you look. The best guess seems to be a float of 185 million and a whopping 2.5 billion authorized.
Not planning to hold long win or lose. Just a lottery play

I see it hit 009 so maybe we will make a big run to close out the day. I was able to add 100k @ 0052 so lowered my average down to .0054. Still holding 150k hopes that we drop a zero off before the day is over

I hopped in for a gamble toward the end of the day. After watching it climb from .006 to .009 I decided to get in at late at .0085(of course to watch it close at .0079). Ive done some searching around and seems like a lot of positive comments on other boards about ASFX. Lets see where this one takes us. O :-)
Edit: One of the biggest pieces of info is that they have an actual product they are selling(can be found at your local walmart). This is key if we want to see it break .01. I personally think it at least has a chance or i wouldnt have bought it so damn high. Go ASFX!

I think it goes over 01 early tomorrow. I just hope it holds.
Something VERY screwy going on with my shares but for a change I came out better. I would have sworn I bought 50k @ 006 and 100k @ 0052 but it shows my average @ 0052. Thats strange enough but it shows all the shares I purchased were @ 0052. Apparently I had a screw up on my order at 006 or it didn't fill until the pps had dropped back.
I'm happy to screw up for the good for a change

I agree 100%! Most of these pennies rise and fall on false hope and momentum. This one actually has substance. Not sure how equates to stock price, maybe it holds it's gains better, I don't know...
It will be fun to watch if this thing gets rolling.
Oh, by the way, I got a hot stock alert from one of the e-mail lists. can only be positive for the stock.
From Hototc.com
"ASFX had an insane day closing the day up 182.14% my initial alert was from last Friday!"

This one took a beating today. I didnt like what I saw in the afternoon once the pps fell below .01. I sold at .0095 and watch the price slip all the way down to .0056. As it was rising back up I bought back in at .007 for a decent flip. Didnt want to see this happen, but hopefully tomorrow we come back up.

I wasn't so lucky .p.
I left around lunch to take my Mom to get a puppy and didn't see anything else until the close. It was ugly to look and see that a 900.00 profit had dropped to a profit of only 175.00 .p.
The following is only my opinion:
Welcome to the world of OTC. I think we have once again been taken by the oldest penny game around......... DILUTION. Everytime one of these two bit companies get an increase in their measley stock price they open the flood gates and drive the price back to its lows. There is no way (imo) this stock dropped that far on normal profit taking. The 2 billion authorized shares should have been a hint |-{ I will be surprised if we don't see some news this week in order for them to sell some more
Now with the above said let me add that I'm not even close to the sharpest tack in the bucket but I am smart enough to figure out that when the stock is moving you let it run and sell a limited number of shares spread out over several days. They always seem to crush the stock and then people won't play the stock again for months.

amen AU... a few of us mentioned that you were going to freak when you got back online... When it started to dump, it dumped fast. I know Vol, myself and maybe others bought back in, not sure if that was smart.
I've been in the game for a short time but continue to learn hard lessons of taking the profits when they are there. Maybe when it was stuck at .012 that was a sign to get out. I took probably less than $100 profit when I had $600 sitting there... All in all it was a tough day!

dmedic i hope that you did not get hurt bad on this. it may go back up but maybe you may want to flip it at the lows. that was very nasty. i will watch for the A/S as aufan mentioned. i won't touch another of that caliber. glta

WESTON, Fla., Aug. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In keeping with its mission to provide unique products that greatly benefit the wellbeing of families, American Scientific Resources (the Company) (Pink Sheets: ASFX - News), today announced it has obtained from Safeguard Medical Technologies, LLC exclusive worldwide rights to sell and market home Needle Destruction Devices (NDD) known as the Disintegrator(TM) and the Disintegrator Plus(TM).
All current and future sales and contracts worldwide have been granted to the Company.
Currently the only NDD approved for home use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Disintegrator enables patients who need to give themselves injections to properly and safely dispose of their used needles at home. The Disintegrator utilizes a unique plasma arc to melt the needle at a temperature of over 3000 degrees Fahrenheit (ensuring the elimination of any pathogens), reducing it to a small bb-shaped ball. It uses patented technology that gives it distinct advantages over similar devices.
"We are quite pleased to have acquired exclusivity on such an innovative product as the Disintegrator," stated Dr. Christopher F. Tirotta, CEO of American Scientific Resources, Inc. "Potential worldwide sales look most encouraging."
The Disintegrator has enormous potential to become a world leader in its market. For example, multiple sclerosis, diabetes and HIV Patients may require daily injections; this device will ensure that their syringes do not end up harming anyone from family members to waste haulers.
A congressional bill (S, 1312) is pending which would amend Title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for coverage of supplies associated with the injection of insulin, of containment, removal, decontamination, and disposal of home-generated needles, and syringes, through a sharps container, or decontamination/destruction device under part D of the Medicare program.
The Disintegrator is already gaining a warm reception from the market. In March 2009, Safeguard delivered 5000 units to one of the world's largest healthcare enterprises. Since then, that global enterprise has placed an additional order for 2000 Disintegrator units (which American Scientific Resources will fulfill) and a competing healthcare enterprise has expressed interest to procure an even larger supply than the combined orders above.
Additionally, according to Safeguard, the first enterprise has a specialty injection drug that is one of the top selling drugs in their line up. Eventually they would like to have a Disintegrator in every such user's home in the EU within 3 years; that translates to over 200,000 units; there are approximately 2 million specialty injection drug users worldwide. With health care transitioning into the home from the facility, ASFX sees the device as a global leader in Needle Disposal Technology.
The Company plans to introduce the product commercially in the fall of 2009. The private label, proprietary models being marketed to the large healthcare enterprises will be sold for upwards of $120. The Disintegrator is EPA recommended.

I missed this last run - too busy chasing other stocks :) but I am definitely researching this company also, soon. Their Disintegrator sounds priceless, as it would be a safe and effective way to 1) stop the spread of disease by the re-use of dirty needles, and 2) reduce the number of accidental needle-sticks.
The PR said the commercial introduction would be in the fall of 2009, and that is only a few days away, now. :)
