Taiwan Semiconductor.
It got caught up with some of the foreign ADR's decline last week. (Foreign companies traded on American exchanges) and it also posted a weaker 2nd qtr profit report but strong recovery is underway. In July TSMC has gotten off to a good start in the third quarter by posting a 4.3 percent jump in sales, its first annual gain in nine months, as an emerging recovery in the chip sector gathers speed. It's competitor, United Microelectronics Corp (UMC) also has reported gains in July. Together, UMC and TSMC, jointly take about two-thirds of global market share. Taiwan Semiconductor is also one of the top holdings in the Templeton Institutional Emerging Markets Fund.
Chart looks like it's trading sideways somewhat after the July decline with some up and down candles, ended Fri with a long black hammer. Support generally holding at $9.60. MACD hist is creeping up towards zero. Accum steady, Black ADX line shows the downtrend has weakened sli and the +DI and -DI act like they want to switch places soon. Sto is started to curl back up above 20. Watch next few days. Might be good to get in long term for remainder of year as forecasts for chip shipments are predicted to grow 20 percent in the third quarter.
