Several good looking plays for Monday 3-09-09. Of course all stem cell related companies will get a boost. Make sure to lock in profits because even if the funding restriction is lifted these companies will more than likely get little or none of the money. Most funds will go to the National Institute of Health and distributed to researchers. If they do get funds it will more than likely be awhile before they recieve it. Play it smart.

SGY @ 2.26 I'm super hyped about this play. Bought yesterday and will add today. Going to hold this one awhile. Check out the thread in the mid cap section

C @ 1.05 .... CEO says they have enough capital and actually turned a profit. This one could go through the roof.

GNW @ .91 ... Will probably advance with the other financials.

MMR @ 3.89 .... Ru is currently holding this one but is red at the current time.

3 plays that will be worth a watch.

CENX @ 2.34 .... I'm already in this one but still think it may be a player the next few days. Aluminum prices are VERY low because of current inventories but lets get real this has a 52 week high of 80.52 and a low of 1.04.

Now while the economy isn't strong there have been some good signals that things are slowly improving. Basic materials has once again started to inch north and housing starts are improving. This is a risky play but the rewards could be HUGE over a period of time

JASO @ 3.77 .... As energy prices rise solar will also begin to look attractive again. This from all I have looked at may be the best bang for the buck in the solar world. Sure you can buy a more stable company and pay upwards of 100.00 per share. For the cost of 1 share you can pick up about 25 - 30 shares of JASO.

CSUN @ 3.25... Tried to buy this one today but thanks to Scottrade playing like a big brother to a stupid kid they once again have a restriction forcing you to call and spend several minutes of phone tag before you can buy. I think this is a great looking play but I will only be watching

I forgot a simple equation when I read this post on March 10th:
Ru owns the stock + Ru is down in the stock = BUY! BUY! BUY!

Anyone reading this, please remind me of this formula the next time the rare opportunity to buy a stock that Ru is down in comes around.

...I was watching the solar plays today and they were on fire. And literally they were ALL up between 18 and 45% so I decided to just scan a couple and pick one out at random. I wanted one that wasn't up over 30% for the day so I went with CSIQ which had a 27.5% gain on the day and an additional 8% in the after hours. CSIQ is a Canadian company that "conducts all of its manufacturing operations in China, has six wholly-owned manufacturing subsidiaries in China. With revenues of $302.8 million dollars in 2007, a 344% growth in revenue over 2006, and projected revenues exceeding $650 million in 2008, CSIQ is one of the fastest growing companies in the solar industry."

Wow... Ru wins again on the AIB play above. AIB this morning has jumped from 2.20 at yeatserdays close to 3.15 this morning.... Aufan never bought a share
