I posted this the other day and removed it but I have a friend that is pretty sharp on stocks but I can't talk him into joining the forum and he claims to never read the forums. I have talked him into sharing 1 or 2 picks each week and I will post them here. If nothing else it will be interesting to see how he does.

These will be posted only once or twice a week and most will be stocks in the 1.00 - 10.00 range.

Just to fill you in on how this came about.

I kid him and call him The Guru so the name of the thread is therefore Ru's Picks

He is 4 out of 5 on his picks he has shared with me and studies the market and smallcap stocks. After missing some good profit I have learned to listen. He gave me SYBD @ .20 several weeks ago I didn't buy until around .60 and today it closed @ .91 He told me about VLNC when it was around 1.50 and today it closed 4.76.

He doesn't trade as often as I do so most of these stocks will be stocks you can hold for awhile or sell after a week but probably not a daytraders game.

EDIT: Just a note to make it clear. He may or may not buy any of the stocks he picks. I had to talk him into this and he only has 3 stocks below 10.00 in his portfolio. FRPT he bought around 1.40 for a temporary play and he is holding sybd and vlnc long term.

Ah nice. Sounds very interesting I'll check up on this too. These 2 picks scare me though.

PRFT - pull up a 10 year chart. I swear it's like looking at a chart of the irrational exuberance in the marketplace. You could use this stock as a predictor of market crashes. It's a very clean/interesting chart on that timescale. Just look at it and think "what happened to the market which resembles this chart". I don't expect a return of the raging bull anytime soon though.

I thought the same thing about SYBD and VLNC.... but who knows. I'm not buying either one of them because of low free cash.

On a side note he still is VERY heavy invested in sybd and vlnc and believes strongly in them. He has said that over the next couple of years sybd could be the next FRPT type stock. I'm pretty deep in vlnc and sybd but waited too long

He knows something....lol. He has made a ton of green the past few months. These picks are a little different from the way he usually plays the market but he agreed to give it a shot.

He normally spends days doing DD on the company before jumping in one. I wouldn't be scared to say he knows as much about the companies he is invested in as some of the company officers do...lol

We will see and if he goofs up we will tar and feather him.....

PRFT was picked @ 7.98 and had a high of 8.98 for the week and currently sits @ 8.50

Aufan, I saw on your other thread that ru picked cbmc. I didnt see it on this post anywhere. Was this not his official pick, and just something he metioned? I bought 9000 @ .07 the other day. We shall see how it goes. Anybody else get in on this?

Any recomendations on an out price for cbmc?
