Huh? It didn't pass the House yet....that I know of?! It passed the Senate, but not the House. The Senate passing didn't boost the market because the obstacle is the House right now and everyone knows that. Once the House passes it, the market should explode because the President already said he sign it.

Soooo....prepare the lift-off! Buy your stocks now and hold for passage!

I dunno....looks like it will take some time for the word to get out I guess. So far, I'm disappointed.

Makes you wonder why the House didn't listen to the voters and not pass it. I think they've overblown what this bill would do. They just saw it as a power grab, but dems wanted to make sure Repubs signed on, so if there was blame to pass, they once again have their pansy.. House Repubs dropped the ball on this one.

I think the stupid jobs report is off-setting the news:

Good point. I listened to the "conference" today regarding the bill right before voting and I heard a lot of the same thing. "Our country cannot make it without a bill such as this, although it is not perfect our country needs it." All that said to me was that they passed a bill that isn't ready to be passed and isn't going to be as effective as it could have been had more time been spent planning it. They essential passed a bill just so they looked like they were doing something in order to fix this "economic crisis" Some politicians make me sick and I wonder how and why they are able to make the decisions they make that effect us all.

This all feels incredibly rushed to me.

on a side note I think Monday will be better than this and we should see some gains.

The jobs report was known at the open, yet the DJIA moved up 300+. The vote is passed ,coincidentally I'm sure. just as NY traders came back from lunch. The DJIA loses all of its gain.

I wonder if the big boys had time to think about it since its first failure to pass, and now realize just how God awful this move is?

Good Luck

The stock market can really suck sometimes....it rarely does what you think it's going to do. My next guess is after this drop today (and all week) that we'll see some gains back on Monday.
