Now, add up the gains for each run FAS and FAZ did and multiply that by .5. What do you get? Thats being right only half the time. These are better swing traded or day traded. At these levels with FAS I do think holding longer term will not hurt anyone.
The chart says down so FAZ is the vehicle. The market is only up a little premarket so I think today will be down by the end. We shall see. I am usually wrong more then I am right. FAZ had a lot of down volume EOD.

Nothing like having the Dow off by 85 points and FAS up by 6%.
Current PPS: $5.95

I am kicking myself in the as@ for thinking it was going down. The 60 min chart looked good for going south. Unfortunately that was the only one, everything else pointed up.

Here is the confusing part.
On the daily, this looks like this is going up.

On the 60 min. it looks like it's going down.

That is some impressive pre-market volume: Quote: Triple Leveraged ETFs
We know there has been no shortage of commentary written about the issues surrounding leveraged ETFs, but today's premarket trading in the Financial sector triple leveraged ETFs from Direxion had us scratching our heads. As shown below, the triple leveraged bullish ETF (FAS) is trading up 4 cents or 0.70%. At the same time, the triple leveraged bearish ETF (FAZ) is trading up 1.41%. Both ETFs are based on the same index, except that one is supposed to track the index while the other tracks the inverse of the index. We realize that trading can be volatile in the pre-market, but FAS has already traded over 2 million shares and FAZ has traded over 400K shares, so it's hard to blame this anomaly on illiquidity. | At 9:20am FAS has 3 million 70K trades and FAZ has 461,000 trades
