| | KFT - Kraft (NYSE Stock)
Kraft looks interesting to me at its current level....several factors incl dairy commodities puts some pressure on margins....whether or not KFT can utilize some divestiture proceeds to reduce some of that debt after the Danone acquisiton will be a sig factor for the longer term outlook, but for the shorter term it is one to keep an eye on where it currently sits imo... http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=kft...d=p52380254797
Good Luck.

Kraft May Be Seeking Buyer
For Its Post Cereals Business
By JULIE JARGON, DANA CIMILLUCA and BETSY MCKAY
August 16, 2007 Quote:
Kraft Foods Inc. is in the early stages of finding a buyer for its Post cereals business, the No. 3 U.S. cereal maker by sales after Kellogg Co. and General Mills Inc., people familiar with the matter said.
A logical bidder would be PepsiCo Inc., whose Quaker unit owns the Cap'n Crunch and Life cereal brands, these people say. Post may fetch as much as $3 billion, one of the people said. Kraft, the largest U.S. food company by sales, has sent financial information on the unit to potential bidders, this person said, and if the unit is successfully auctioned, a deal could be signed later this year.

"Kraft Nears Sale of Post Cereal
Last Update: 05-Nov-07 09:45 ET
Kraft (KFT, 32.85) is near an agreement to sell its Post cereal business to Ralcorp Holdings Inc., according to an article in today's edition of The Wall Street Journal. Ralcorp, a private-label cereal maker, is looking to add clout to its production abilities as it competes with the likes of General Mills (GIS, 56.91) and Kellogg (K, 52.58).
According to The Journal, the $2.8 billion transaction involves a stock-based arrangement in which Kraft may divest Post and then merge the company with Ralcorp. The arrangement would free the parties from certain tax liabilities.
Rumors began circulating this summer that Kraft was seeking buyers for Post. The company's divestitures are coming amid an interest in refocusing efforts on faster growing businesses. Stalwart General Mills was believed to be a potential buyer, as was PepsiCo (PEP, 72.98).
Activist shareholder Nelson Peltz was not mentioned in the article, but it is not without possibility that his Trian Group is playing a role in the divestiture. Peltz's Trian Group acquired a 3 percent stake in shares of KFT earlier this summer with plans of bolstering shareholder value."
