Guys you have to keep an eye on this one and I think it will deliver some monster green in the months to come. This stock took a huge fall today on missed earnings and a downgrade from GS (see below) and fell from 67.51 to close @ 39.65 or down 41.27% today alone.
I'm in at 41.10 on what looked like a nice bounce but it ran back to 43.50 and then dropped again at the close.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Shares of Mosaic Co. plummeted Thursday after its fiscal first-quarter earnings widely missed Wall Street expectations and an analyst downgraded the shares.
For the period ending Aug. 31, Mosaic earned $1.18 billion, or $2.65 per share on revenue of $4.32 billion. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters, on average, expected a higher profit of $2.94 per share on revenue of $4.11 billion.

Goldman Sachs analyst Edlain Rodriguez pulled Mosaic from his "Americas Buy List," downgrading the stock to "Neutral." He also cut his six-month price target by $35 to $115.

He cited waning demand for "phosphates, especially in Latin America as credit concerns there (likely to persist) are forcing farmers to curtail fertilizer consumption and North American buyers are not rushing to buy until it's absolutely necessary as they contemplate" corn prices below $5 a bushel.

Shares fell $24.43, or 36.1 percent, to $43.11 in afternoon trading.

Privately held Cargill owns a majority stake in Mosaic, and the current share-price swoon might lead the nation's largest private company to buy back the remaining public stake in Mosaic. (Conversely, Cargill's stake likely precludes any interest from other suitors.)

Mosaic never deserved to trade above $160, as was the case back in June. But a stock below $50 is equally short-sighted. When the dust settles, look for a solid rebound in shares.

Also check out POT which fell today from 128.04 down to a close of 93.51. I'm not in POT but it will be fun to watch

Great call on Mosaic!!!!!

Careful with POT, though....it's a gateway stock.

Unless there is something I'm not seeing this fall is nuts. It looks like the huge google fall when they missed estimates and google made a nice rebound.

I have had enough of all the so called analyst. What kills about the analyst is after a stock drops they come in and downgrade and cut their price target. I'm not very smart but Monday morning quarterbacking isn't rocket science. If they want to impress me cut the price target before the drop...lol

They had great revenue but missed estimates. Its no longer ok for a company to produce good revenue they now have to hit or exceed artificial earning estimates. Want to help the market? Get rid of 90% of the analyst.

Every action in the market is over done at this point. Stocks race one day only to lose huge the next.

I hear ya Aufan.

I'm getting in and out fast, and it's happening very fast.
The swings are enormous. I think it will spike for the bailout, and then
drop, spike, level, and then down we go again. I needed the quick in and out
policy anyway, so what a way to learn.

I hope to be taking my profits tomorrow to hit the for the Monday sell.
This would be an incredible time to have a lot of spare cash.
The deals are laying everywhere in the floor.

I hate the analysts, too. Hopefully the passing of the bill will shut them up for awhile....but I somehow doubt it.

I hear you on the analyst's, earning expectations and estimates.....it's BS. Either a company is solid or it's not and if they running the company well into the black, they desirve a stock price increase at earnings report. I particularly cringe when company sets record earnings but the stock drops because of "future concern".....arrrrgggg.....pure BS. Let's punish them for something that has not even happened. LOL
