Dow futures down 152.......FAS will probably open around $5.75. Let's just pray for a reversal. The week I got stuck in FAS (mid-February) was the 4-day week with the market closed on Monday for President's Day. I can clearly remember each close of that week from hell:
Friday, February 13th: FAS closes at $7.92
Monday: Markets closed (President's Day)
Tuesday: FAS closes at $6
Wednesday: $5.84
Thursday: $5.03
Friday $4.90 <-----with a day low of $3.92 (this was the Friday when nationalization rumors got out of control and finally the White House put out a statement that sent the financials soaring)
The very next week FAS went from the $3.92 temporary low to the $6.50s before dropping all the way down to a pathetic $2.32 a share. From the $2.32/share bottom FAS recently climbed to as high as $7.80 (the week before last).
The point is FAS can easily be cut in a half in 1 crummy week or double in a strong week. FAS has more than tripled in recent weeks and at the same time FAZ has fallen from a $115 high to under $20.
Good luck to us in FAS, we will need it!

EDIT: fourth 15 minutes of trading: $6.92 | This is why I don't like FAS. On March 19th FAS peaked at $7.80 for the day high and highest price since early February. Easier to explain with dates: Quote: March 19th
FAS high of day: $7.80
Dow Jones close: 7,400.80 Today, April 2nd
FAS current PPS: $6.55
Current Dow Jones value: 8,020 points
| All it takes is one down day to really negatively affect FAS. This is not pretty: March 19th
$7.80/7,400 on the Dow April 2nd
$6.55/8,020 on the Dow.

I pulled out of this one today for a small profit. I don't like it much either GG. Your explanation really made me think, so thanks for that. The points you made and the fact that I couldnt decide whether this would go over 7$ tomorrow or under 6$ gave me reason to sell. Too much risk and volatility, even for a guy with the S/N Volatile22

I spoke kinda soon. FAS is down a couple pennies and most banks are down aside from BAC and C. But it is very early to predict a direction.

I suppose I got "emotional" and sold FAS at $8.89, near the low of the day
Current price $9.53/share and headed up, up, and away....

Looks like my sell was a good move so far.
Current PPS: $8.46
I definitely won't be in a hurry to jump back in and can say that I learned my lesson (bought at $8 on February 12th and it bottomed at $2.32 by March 6th )
