I changed the name of this thread to make it easier to find. If you want to find it in a hurry type in stockfetcher using the search function.

A few people have asked me about my scans...

Hey, long time on hiatus here,

GC do you have a volume alert type scan? Say if there was a big spike in volume for a particular stock it would show up on the scanner. I want something I can check throughout the day for stocks that are making a sudden move upward.

I no longer day trade penny stocks so I don't use a volume scan. (I scalpe trade forex -much easier). But on the home page of stockfetcer they have some volume scans that are very useful for the situation you are looking for..

Lower Bollinger Band scan. You can adjust price and volume to suit your needs.

Show stocks where close is near lower bollinger band(20)
and Average Volume(90) is above 50000
and close is between 5 and 10

Show stocks where low reached a new 1 year low
and Average Volume(90) is above 50000
and close is between 1 and 50

Show stocks where low reached a new 124 day low
and Average Volume(90) is above 50000
and close is between 1 and 50

Show stocks where low reached a new 6 week low
and Average Volume(90) is above 50000
and close is between 1 and 50

Show stocks where Close has been decreasing over the last 1 week
and Average Volume(90) is above 50000
and close is between 1 and 50

45-day decreasing slope channel

Other channel scans from stockfetcher
