SatMAX Expands Its Vertical Market Strategy
Targets Satellite Communications Opportunities in the Aircraft Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Avionics Industries
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/SatMAX....html?x=0&.v=1
HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - 08/20/10) - SatMAX Corp. (Pinksheets:SATM - News), a leading global provider of wireless, non-line-of-sight satellite communications products and services to the $46 billion ground-based satellite communications industry, announced today that it is expanding its aviation vertical market strategy to generate new growth opportunities related to the deployment of its successful Alpha EMS Portable satellite communications repeater. The company will also hire or partner with industry participants to develop this important vertical market.
"We are evolving our patented SatMAX® technology from our successful hand-held satellite voice and data market offering and expanding it into the high growth markets of aircraft manufacturers, aircraft maintenance organizations, and avionics equipment manufacturers -- potentially, even negotiating an OEM strategy," said SatMAX CEO Don Bresina. "We believe our strategy of enabling value-added reseller specialization will yield continued high-growth results for our partners. Our goal is to continue to improve the market awareness of our product and help our partners leverage those skills to solve the non-line-of-sight satellite communications problems facing their customers. We want to become trusted advisors to address our customers' satellite communications needs by having the vertical market expertise that sets us above our competition."
SatMAX is making strategic investments in support of these three new markets, targeting a formal launch by the end of this year. SatMAX has already successfully negotiating agreements with the U.S. Navy, SAIC, Fort Bend County TX, ITT Corp., TLC Engineering, AvStar Aviation Group (Pinksheets:AAVG - News), and other defense contractors.
SatMAX® patented repeater technology enables satellite communications users to quickly and easily make fully wireless voice and data communications from any non-line-of-sight location. Historically limited by the requirement for satellite communications to have line-of-sight access to orbiting satellites, with SatMAX users now have the ability to access dependable and uninterrupted wireless satellite communications.
About SatMAX
SatMAX Corporation is dedicated to providing global wireless, non-line-of-sight, satellite voice and data communications links to government, military, and commercial and industrial customers. SatMAX® satellite repeaters have been tested and proven with all major branches of the U. S. military and have been purchased by several major defense contractors. SatMAX® equipment has also been used by the world's the largest, most prestigious oceanographic research institute as an integral component in identifying and quantifying global ocean warming issues.
