If you want to enjoy some of the best written Mystery/Thrillers, check out the Detective Series by Reginald Hill that is based in Yorkshire (England). Try and read them in order, as the characters are well developed and "age" with each other...

Also there is a great article in April 2010 Wired Magazine about Sony and 3D; and at about $10 per year Wired is one of the best magazine values there is.
