Hurricane Plays

This was a pretty popular thread back on MarMill.. Figured I'd get it runnin again over here. I think its pretty safe to say that these plays threw a lot of people off. Everyone expected these to just take off at the beginning of the hurricane season but now it looks like they aren't going to move till something big hits.. Anyone still holding or thinking about jumping in? whats your play choice? I'm currently in NSMG even waiting for something and ECCI at a pretty big loss but I'm gonna hold onto it.

I also jumped in on ECCI and am waiting for the bump...sold almost all of my other floundering stocks for a bigger stake inTDCP, but held my position on this one for awhile longer

Yah, i was all geared up for NSMG's rise up to $.50, but so far this hurricane season (with no news of hurricanes) it has just floundered around $.20. Needless to say, I sold out my position about 3-4 weeks ago to buy some TDCP at .35 :D I did take a loss on my nsmg to the tune of about $350, but hey - it was worth it. I wonder if NSMG will be a good stock to get back into later in the summer...

Thats awesome! good for you.. I think these stocks are gonna shoot up like they did when katrina hit. As soon as a hurricane is on the coast headin this way its gonna be a 500% week. Its really just a matter of when to get in.

Thats the first I'm seeing this play but I'm gonna keep it on my watch list till the 50day gets closer to crossing the 200. and it would be nice to see the MACD switch it up lol. Got any other info on it?

Eric, I find that TA on very low volume stocks like hurricane plays seems fairly meaningless... they rise on anticipation and news, and fall when there's no news and the cane season is over. Look what happened to ECCI after the 50/200 crossover. TA works if there's volume to implement the indicators...
