Got in on them last week, and this company has some exciting news on the horizon.

Their quarterly results were released yesterday morning, and they were more than doubled the 1Q results from 2009. Also, this was in the PR:


It is too early in the second quarter to forecast the full quarter, but our sales performance was almost up 80% over April 2009. We are cautiously optimistic about our performance in the second quarter."

They also have some new products in testing right now that the company is pretty excited about. Just wanted to call attention to this stock and let people have a look at them.

Company Background

Ocean Bio-Chem, Inc. is engaged in the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of a range of appearance and maintenance products for boats, recreational vehicles, automobile and aircraft under the Star brite and other trademarks within the United States and Canada. In addition, the Company produces private label formulations of many of its products for various customers, as well as provides custom blending and packaging services of these and other products. The Company produces the majority of its products at its manufacturing facility in Montgomery, Alabama. I have a friend who works with the company in Montgomery who led me on to them...he seemed pretty impressed with their set up and I've made a good 30% on them in the last week.

Ocean Bio-Chem, Inc. (NASDAQ: OBCI) reported today that net sales for the 2nd quarter 2010, were up approximately 29% to approximately $7,360,000 compared to $5,715,000 for the comparative quarter of 2009, an increase of $1,644,500. For the six months ended June 30th, 2010, net sales were approximately $12,558,000 compared to net sales of $9,825,000 for the comparative 2009 period, an increase of $2,732,000 or 28%.

Ocean Bio-Chem President and CEO Peter Dornau commented, "I am quite satisfied with our sales performance for both the three month and six months of 2010. The Company had record high sales revenue for the second quarter and six month periods ending June 30, 2010. Despite a slow economy the Company continues to increase sales of its products in our core marine market as well as increasing sales to newer markets and customers."

Peter Dornau continued, "In addition, sales to the Company's larger marine customers increased in the second quarter, as these customers replenished store inventory levels and purchased additional products in anticipation of an improved boating season."

Took a huge jump today on EOY results. Silly me had a limit sell well below what it's trading at...but can't frown at profit.
