Seaway Valley Capital Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: SWVL), a diversified holding company, with the wholly owned subsidiary Sackets Harbor Brewing Company, today announced that it will immediately re-commence production at Rochester-based High Falls Brewing Company. ( High Falls Brewery)
Production will initially commence on its award winning War of 1812 Amber Ale that has developed a strong fan base of craft beer aficionados in Central and Northern New York. Thomas Scozzafava, President of Sackets Harbor Brewing Company stated, "The master brewers at High Falls have worked closely with Sackets Harbor Brewing Company for months to make sure the recipe was carefully reproduced, and we have been extremely pleased with the product to date. We are excited to re-commence production."
Mr. Scozzafava continued, "The size and of experience of High Falls' operations and its staff, respectively, made the earlier choice by Sackets Harbor Brewing Company to partner with High Falls a relatively easy one. Prior to the production interruption, demand for our product had doubled over a relatively short time and brewing at High Falls has allowed us to increase batch production by two and a half times our previous capacity - at much better overall economics for us."
The larger and more efficient production process paves the way for Sackets Harbor Brewing Co. to supply its craft beer for its growing national presence. War of 1812 Amber Ale can be primarily found in restaurants and retail locations in New York and Florida, but it is also now licensed for distribution in Massachusetts and Vermont with other state licensing underway.
In a related matter, Seaway Valley Capital Corporation also announced that effective July 1, 2009, it had transferred from Seaway Valley the assets and stock of Sackets Harbor Brewing Company into Hackett's Stores, Inc. (Pink Sheets: HCKE) in exchange for the original ninety six shares of Patrick Hackett Hardware Company that were transferred in December 2008. The ninety six shares represented the original shares acquired by WiseBuys Stores, Inc. on November 7, 2007.

Seaway Valley Capital Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: SWVL), a diversified holding company, today announced that wholly owned subsidiary Hackett's Stores, Inc. (Pink Sheets: HCKE) and Herbert Becker have reached an agreement to begin receiving clothing merchandise from two of North America's premier importers and manufacturers. The Plattsburg- and Montreal-based companies have agreed to provide Hackett's premier imported knits, plus-size ladies garments, swimwear and other seasonally-relevant clothing with an aggregate retail value of $1.3 million. As part of the deal, Mr. Becker negotiated a "pay-at-scan" arrangement whereby the retailer does not have to pay for the goods until they are actually sold at the registers of Hackett's.
"What makes these deals so great is that the merchandise is 100% pay-at-scan, which allows Hackett's to bring quality garments into the stores without having any negative effect on our cash or reserves," said Mr. Becker. Mr. Becker continued, "This new product should create some excitement in the stores and generate cash flows for operations." Mr. Becker noted that he also has begun discussion with several other clothing and hard line vendors for similar deals. WiseBuys Stores, inc., which was merged into Hackett's in 2007, had a number of similar arrangements including one with a major linen and towel wholesaler, which is still in place at Hackett's today.
Seaway Valley President and CEO, Thomas Scozzafava, stated, "In order for manufacturers to hand over consignment merchandise with this aggregate dollar value, there needs to be an amount of trust on the part of the manufacturer. And as it relates to this most recent transaction, Mr. Becker has known and done business with these manufacturers for a number of years, and it's because of these relationships they agreed to do the deal."

Re: Seaway Valley Capital Corp. (SWVL)
Well since last post the stock made it out of the "triple digits" and then fell back into them during very heavy trading, Now Bid .0007 ASK .0008. This Company has the financial experience to bale itself out; I trust they will do while keeping a "weather eye" on their stockholders...
The chance for folks to "buy low and sell high" should attract more investors at very low prices...

More news today:
Seaway Valley Capital Corporation Subsidiary Hackett's Stores Executes Agreement to Remain in Potsdam Location
Released: 07/15/09 05:00 AM EDT
GOUVERNEUR, N.Y., July 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Seaway Valley Capital Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: SWVL), a diversified holding company, today announced that wholly owned subsidiary Hackett's Stores, Inc. (Pink Sheets: HCKE) has reached an agreement to remain in its Potsdam location for the remainder of its lease term.
The agreement with GBR Market Street Limited Liability Company, and Potsdam Holdings L.P., which are managed by Gibraltar Management of Tarrytown, NY, allows Hackett's to remain in the Potsdam location with the conditions of repaying certain back rents over an agreed upon period and staying current on future rents. The lease, which has about one year remaining before Hackett's first five year option period, also alleviates Hackett's from rent on the 20,000 square feet formerly sublet to Giant Tiger.
"We are very pleased to have reached this settlement with our partners at Gibraltar Management," stated new Chief Operating Officer Herbert Becker. "Potsdam was one of our best performing locations and we are grateful that our landlord was sensitive to our recent situation and willing to work with us to maintain operations."
Mr. Becker noted that he also has begun discussion with other landlords where similar eviction proceedings have commenced, and he remains somewhat optimistic that one or more similar deals can be reached. It was earlier reported by local media that Hackett's was attempting to remain in certain stores where its forced senior loan repayment gave it little choice but to close or liquidate, including those Hamilton, Canton and Gouverneur.

Re: Seaway Valley Capital Corp. (SWVL)
Last time I posted about their 500 barrel beer production, the stock took a major drop in price (!). Today with more news, I'll predict that the pps will drop again with some small up ticks to make the chart "look" better ( for the shorting folks)... I urge caution for new investors, as it seems that there are huge amounts of stock that are being "played", so watch the VOLUME of the trades, anything less than say 50,000 shares should be ignored at these "tiny" prices! Remember some folks have huge amounts of stock to dump and they can make the price move in both directions...:

Re: Seaway Valley Capital Corp. (SWVL)
Midday Update;
As I figured a few million shares traded at .0007 at the open, then with the exception of one trade (20,000 at .0007 which equals $14 ) all of the rest of the trades were at .0006. I think it very important to note that as the stock gets closer to ZERO the volatility goes way, way up! Buyer beware...
