Odyne Corporation is also a manufacturer of hybrid electric propulsion systems that can be installed in new gasoline or diesel powered trucks and busses by OEM’s or retrofitted into existing vehicles. These systems reduce fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and exhaust emissions. Demand for this type of vehicle has recently increased due to new Federal regulations requiring reduced emissions, incentives to reduce oil imports, and cost pressures.

Odyne Corporation products are designed to be used in trucks, school busses, and other commercial/industrial vehicles. These are applications in which the vehicle makes frequent stops and starts, then drives at sustained speed for short periods. Odyne’s hybrid system operates its electric and conventional motors in their peak efficiency ranges.
