re: CLWR - Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ Stock)
My experience is that after hours can be deceptive. There is a premium charged through the spreads when you trade outside the market hours. It usually is against you like in the case NTWK last week it shot up to $5 in pre-market but never got back there after the market opened. That would have been nice if you owned it and wanted to sell. If you would have bought then that would have been expensive.

re: CLWR - Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ Stock)
Probably a good play, more often than not, when a stock sees a huge drop like that, it recovers some. These are by far my favorite plays, try to hit the bottom and sell when it moves up a little afterward.
Quote:
NEW YORK - An analyst remained optimistic on Clearwire Corp. Monday even though the wireless broadband provider's relationship with Sprint Nextel Corp. fell apart Friday, sending shares down more than 25 percent that day.
The companies canceled plans to unite high-speed WiMax networks they are individually building throughout the country. Sprint's larger network would have added to Clearwire (nasdaq: CLWR - news - people )'s own coverage in the plan, dubbed Xohm.
Think Equity analyst Eric Kainer maintained his "Buy" rating, but lowered his price target to $33 from $30, saying he is "cautiously optimistic" after Clearwire's third-quarter results and is telling clients "don't sprint away now."
"We viewed Xohm as a creative way for Clearwire to improve its margins, reduce its funding requirement, remove a likely competitor and develop its ecosystem," Kainer said in a client note. "Accessing Sprint's customer relationships and incoming roaming minutes would have added customer value."
Kainer said he believes Sprint's lack of a new chief executive kept the deal from being truly cemented, and that a new leader - especially one hired internally - may rekindle the relationship.
The optimism comes despite a loss that grew fivefold in the third quarter due to a one-time debt charge, but a churn rate that fell. Churn is the percentage of current customers that leave, period to period.
"We believe Clearwire will succeed wildly," Kainer said. "Our strongest argument is its success in its 25 initial markets" where margins rapidly improved in just a few periods.
"We believe these markets are a model of how other markets are likely to develop."
Shares rose 46 cents, or 3.4 percent, to $13.95 in premarket trading Monday.
(This version CORRECTS to say Sprint, not Clearwire, is without a CEO in 5th graph.)

re: CLWR - Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ Stock)
Playing the gap down in a down market is not the best for me. I would wait for a few days and see how the MACD and ADX look. Maybe a buy stop at or above a resistance level would be a way.
CLWR is probably better off without getting into the Sprint mess. As far as I am concerned, Sprint made a mistake buying Nextel. I have dealt with Nextel in the past. They have a huge fraud loss problem due to poor credit underwriting standards. I have dealt with Nextel on a few occasions and each time they didn't consider themselves victims when I was staring at their loss on fraudulent accounts. The only time I got someone to listen when they had one person rip them for 175 phones and black berry's plus a few months worth of service. That cracked six figures into profit from one person. That is not the problem though. The problem is how the company reacted to the problem. It didn't change it's underwriting. Now, that Sprint is the survivor there has not been much change as far as I know.
If your interested, the dry shippers have been experiencing some profit taking. PRGN caught my eye and I looked at DRYS. Take a look at them all you might find a better play.

Re: CLWR - Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ Stock)
This stock has really been running, especially after the earnings report. Today it's up almost 5% after yesterdays run. This stock is looking HOT to me.
Current stock price: $8.03

Re: CLWR - Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ Stock)
CLWR with a double bottom and a W pattern. I am expecting CLWR to have a trend change. There is a very good possibility that CLWR will move up.
