This thread is dedicated 100% to big board stocks that are now at discounted prices. I will be looking at stocks below 10.00 for the most part.

All thoughts are welcome as long as it is a NYSE, AMX or Nasdaq listed stock and is now running a blue light special. Here is only a partial list to kick us off.

Perfect thread. I'll add some above your range. With my broker I actually do better with stocks over $15 than under due to a large difference in fees.

UA - Underarmor - $28.01, 52 week range $26.49 - $73.40
reported earnings above expectations, and a new product launch at the superbowl. That happened friday and it dropped 24% in value on the day, looking for another 5% bounce tuesday jan 22. Even if not, the super bowl is in less than 2 weeks and when its new shoe shows up there might be good for the stock too. I actually bought this friday at 26.7 after it riccocheted (sp?) off 30% loss on the day.

I'm kicking myself over dumping UA so fast lol. Shoulda held to the superbowl, thing is back up to nearly $35.

How things are going…. I would think (IMO) there is now plenty to buy and choose from…
but is the storm finished yet? IMO I very much doubted although we will have some upper days I believe (and I am not the only one) there is more “red” to come….

from experiences I found that in this stormy market if you can find a good stock (even at this prices) keep it/them for long there will be a good return for your money…..

Right now companies are reporting year end earnings, the majority are dropping 20% or more when they do whether it's good or bad regardless of who they are. Very few hold even. Mostly it's panic selling and healthy companies seem to recover at least a good amount within a couple of days.

But no, not done yet. This will be crazy with daily 30% drops and recoveries until everyone is done reporting year end earnings I think. As a rule of thumb if you wanna know which are gonna drop 30% tomorrow just look up who's reporting earnings... it will be one or more of them.
