Default Notice To Everyone: Respect The Forum!

I'm not a mod here, but most of you know who I am. I know that Gary and Paul are putting a lot of effort into this new board. It's for YOU! Let's not start threads with dated titles and b/s with them. Keep it to the point. Just the ticker is enough if that's all that you want. And for God's sake, use the search function or AT LEAST look down the 1st page to see if you're starting a duplicate thread. I see one already on INXR on the 1st page. Geez, think about it. You've got a brand new, clean board. Why start cluttering it up already and make it so they have to spend time merging threads and editing content? Don't you think they've got enough to do? I'm not trying to sound like a complete hard ass here and I realize that mistakes can be made, but if all of us put forth 1/4 of the effort that they have, this board will stay sweet.

obviously not my forum either, but i completely agree with what was said. IMO this gives us a brand new chance to actually title threads appropriately. it would be great if threads were titled with the names and tickers only. stuff like "XYZA TO THE MOON ON FRIDAY!" doesn't really do much after Friday...

I am a mod..... And everything klipper said is right on target.

And this forum will be a no bs forum just like the last.
That includes bs on thread titles. I am reasonable, and when there is an honest mistake, I can usually tell. I usually give one warning. We, as moderators will do the best we can, but this forum is for all of you, so it is in y'alls best interest to police yourselves as well, by using common sense. If anyone sees something that you think needs attention from one of us moderators..please feel free to send us a pm.

Enjoy and thank you.

Hello
I take this opportunity to add some suggestions on this thread because
1) I wasn’t sure where to post them
2) I didn’t like to open a thread in case everybody didn’t agree
there is so much discipline that sometime it frighten me to smile (I am a serious trader but then I like humour and have a laugh)

have you all been in the army?? (I am a very discipline person myself, that’s why I like here)
Joking apart, this is what I had in mind

1) How about a thread like “before the bell”
(1 in different markets, following the board)
where latest news, ideas, strategies for the day, etc… etc… can be posted where we can see them at glance and be aware for the opening
(just a though)

2) how about a DTT (Daily Trading Thread)
this can be use to post our trades (open, close positions, scalping, short, long etc…)
as I haven’t noticed many post their trades, maybe it is not a habit, over here, to do so

hoping my “mumble” will be understood, (gee how difficult to express myself in this situation)
but be taken as a good cause for this Forum and all the community..

good night from you… and good morning to me :D

Very good ideas. And something we will evenutally get around to. Our hands are full right now and we are still trading.

We would like to keep it clean. It helps us all if you to go back and do a review. It all will be in one place. One thing we are going to do is try to add a stickty to each thread where the float o/s and such can be stuck. That is later down the road as we are still working on the skin and buttons.

We are not going for a good board we are going for the best board. And we are going to be adding things that helps our members. vbulletin isnt the easiest to use as far as setting up a board but when we get it right it will be user friendly to the max.

We are also setting up forums if members want to run them and keep them "alive" by posting and having other people post as well.

And we are taking all suggestions seriously because we will dare to be different. We will try new things and see if they work.

Thank you.

I didn’t mean to be open by the Amd. but IMO any poster could open them, even me, but because my “lingo” difficulty, I prefer to let other do it.

Great points thus far!

I'd like to see people actually post more info in their first post for a company:

1) It'd be nice to have a link to a financial page, i.e. google, yahoo, etc. So we can take a quick look at the company because chances are I (we) don't know squat about them. It'd save me time in having to go searching...yea...most of us traders are lazy and pressed for time. If I can't find info in less than 1 minute and read it in 5 minutes, I'm done looking at that company.

2) I'd like to the currently quoted stock price, it's a great reference to have as a thread grows old.

3) Don't start a thread unless you intend on being active in it. A lot of people start a thread, then never update or participate in it....that makes you a pumper. LOL

4) Link to some news or quote it in the post. Don't just tell us there news out, post it for God's sake.

My 2 cents.....which may be added too down the road. LOL :D
