Question Etrade question about taxes

Is there a feature on Etrade where you can download all of your activity for the year so that you can use that information to file your taxes?

Is there a way I can download the records of my trading activity instead of manually keeping track of it myself?

Please let me know..thank you!!

think you can get what you want under 'transaction history' and 'reports'... just got an update from em in regular mail with an overview of annual activity that stated that tax documents should be ready by 1/31....

you are welcome and you can always call broker b/c they know that site better than any of us lol but since i am logged on there this is what you have to do..... open up your portfolio and then look at second row of gray tabs at top.. should see the words >> trade, portfolios - view orders - balances and then transaction history... click on transaction history... should see the words 'transaction history', with a row of tabs under - reports is last tab there.... may wanna check and see if what you want is under reports and if not then you can select account type and time period for all transactions and then print it out...

I think our way of taxation it is even better (nothing else in Government work… )
The bank/institution that hold the trading account do it automatically so we don’t have to bother….

I believe they do that otherwise no one pay the full amount of tax…..
