Default Fiscal Conservatives...???

http://canadianpress.google.com/arti...fS3PsyU66bwZUg

"Bush sends Congress $3.1 trillion budget, big increases for defense"

Excerpt: - "...Bush projects that deficits, which have been declining, will soar to near-record levels, hitting $410 billion this year and $407 billion in 2009. The all-time high deficit in dollar terms was $413 billion in 2004."

Where have all the old true fiscally responsible Republicans gone??? Oh yeah, they (he) are (is) classified today as being on the fringe....

Go figure - Big Brother...Big Gov't is apparently popular with both major parties these days....embarrassing.

Indeed, true conservatives are almost extinct. Anymore I give, let's just declare our new name "Peoples Republic of America" and hand over our paychecks for the "greater good".

Yeah, I apologize for bringing up political overtones in my messages...I am just at a point where I am disgusted with where we are as a nation. I consider myself a hard line fiscal conservative and I feel there is only one person that truly represents that (fiscal conservatism with a CLEAR RECORD to back it up) in our current political arena and the media does everything in their power to brand him as a fringe "kook"....the problem is that far too many Americans that participate in our political process believe the information spewed through the propaganda tube without doing any critical thinking as to what (if any) agenda the media has framing the debate and the political landscape. I feel news outlets in the former USSR must be laughing at our media these days knowing quite well what they are attempting to do (and it appears successfully so). All this under these bogus "fair and balanced" or "the most trusted name in news" slogans.........the people are just being taken for a ride....and they to either not know, don't care, or are too lazy to seek the truth....I am no conspiracy theorist by any stretch, this stuff just seems so simply obvious to this here observer.

HA! Why should Americans have to think anymore? Just turn on the TV and listen to your friends and you'll be fully informed with exactly what's happening. ROFL Just pay your ever increasing taxes and shut-up. The realization of what's going on with big Gov won't hit people until they rip-open their paychecks and see 80% of it gone to Uncle Sam. Maybe then the masses will realize what power hungry politicians have done to us.....but it will be too late. They will have amassed too much power and control. Once they control healthcare just imagine......what's next? Maybe they can raise our kids for us so we can continue working for the greater good?

Well, things will definately get worse before they get...even worse. It is really sad what's going on and I am amazed how many individuals favor socialism rather than capitalism.

What went wrong here?

Sorry, but I just can't resist to mention my favorite person partially responsible for the mess we will be in down the road...Helicopter Ben...

I start to believe that it poses a challenge to him when he converts oxygen into carbondioxide...

I think the budget was a very good...joke. Hey, it made me laugh. Did Congress call the hard working middle-class a bunch of idiots yesterday after they agreed to pass the...what was it called...'economic deterioration plan'...oh, no it was the 'economic stimulus plan'. A plan designed to do...absolutely nothing...wait, I take that back...how could I forget...of course it will add another $160 Billion of debt but who counts anyway, right?
