A fun little etf.

-It's an inverse (short) etf
-returns 200% of the inverse of the dow.

You should trade the dow chart however, as it's mostly a reflection of that.

Pick a good top from ben's latest pump and dump and ride it back down.

This etf is a good one to keep handy.

The investment seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, which correspond to twice (200%) the inverse of the daily performance of the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index. The fund invests in derivatives that Proshare Advisors believes should have similar daily return characteristics as twice (200%) the inverse of the daily performance of the index. It invests typically the rest of the assets in money market instruments. The fund is non-diversified.

Right at market close I dumped half what had in this and took the green off the table. Mainly because I want to be able to average down tomorrow morning depending what the retail sales and oil prices do to the price at 8:30am.

In the morning I think the retail sales are going to come in a lot better than expected and might be a good bounce in the dow. Going to wait for that to settle out and then jump in this.

I sold Inverse ETF's into the close yesterday and have sold more today...

..gonna try and play a lil short term dc bounce going into next week.

Sweet....I missed yesterday, too busy at work. I knew the market was going to tank today so it was my plan last night. Congrats on hitting it yesterday, that was the BIG one. If work didn't have me by the nads, I could have made a few hundred bucks.

Just sold my DXD until we see what the market sentiment is next week. With a touch of good news, it just might rally again with all the bottom feeding. Man, I'm seeing some low prices in the range of this years earlier bear. The mini-bull of the past few weeks just got wiped IMO.

Stayed in this puppy for today.....crash DOW crash! LOL Actually, looks like I'm going to finish in the green today after the mini-rally yesterday put me slightly red.

Anyone play DXD at the start of this? It's at 104.50 today, on 24SEP2008 it was only $65 !

Played a bit of dxd today towards the end, might have jumped the gun a tad but not by too much. Way I see it dow is following oil right now, and the main thing pushing oil is eur/usd. Charts:

Basically, I wouldn't be surprised to see eur-usd hit 1.28 on that MA there, but that should bounce the trend back down unless we're in for a major shift.

Oil might push up over $64 again to follow suit bouncing off the prev trendline.

Anyway, I figure the dow will follow these two at the moment, so they're what I'm mainly looking at to note any trouble in my plans. =)
