Ambassadors International, Inc., through its subsidiaries, operates as a cruise, marine, and travel and events company. The company operates in three segments: Cruise, Marine, and Travel and Events. This segment also provides hotel reservation, registration, and travel services for meetings, conventions, expositions, and trade shows; and develops, markets, and distributes event portfolio management technology solutions. As of December 31, 2008, the company’s U.S.-flagged cruise ships offered 928 passenger berths and its international-flagged ships offered 608 passenger berths. It also involves in reinsurance business comprising commercial auto liability, commercial physical damage, and workers’ compensation. The company serves corporations, trade show companies, large associations, government agencies, and private individuals. Ambassadors International, Inc. was founded in 1967 and is headquartered in Newport Beach, California.
