Re: GME - GmaeStop
Personally, I don't much care for thestreet.com's recommendations. They do tend to move a stocks PPS, but it's normally followed by a sell off....at least that's how I've been burned by kramer. LOL

Haha it happens! GME might have a marginal gain, but I wouldn't expect it to just soar off of the new games and the holiday season..
And yeah, Im looking forward to GTA4 too

GameStop shares plunge on slashed outlook
9:16a ET January 7, 2010 (Marke****ch)
CHICAGO (Marke****ch) -- Shares of video game retailer GameStop Corp. fell sharply in premarket trading Thursday after the company cut its fourth-quarter earnings forecast.
The stock was down 14% at $20.64.
GameStop slashed its outlook to a range of $1.25 to $1.29 per share from its earlier projection of $1.47 to $1.65 a share. On average, analysts surveyed by FactSet Research had been looking for a profit of $1.57 a share.
The company said December sales at stores open at least 12 months dropped 8.6%, hampered by "by economic weakness in all global operating segments, winter storms at peak shopping periods in December, and unexpected shortages of key products such as New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Nintendo Wii and Sony's PlayStation 3 consoles."
Total sales for the nine weeks ended Jan. 2 were about flat with a year earlier at $2.86 billion.
GameStop now sees fourth-quarter same-store sales declining by 8.5% to 9.5%.

Strong buy:

S&P MAINTAINS STRONG BUY RECOMMENDATION ON SHARES OF GAMESTOP
(Standard & Poor's)
GME announces flat sales for the 9-week holiday period ended January 2, including an 8.6% decline in comparable store sales, well below our estimates. Economic weakness and shortages of key products and consoles were primarily to blame for the shortfall. We are lowering our FY 10 (Jan) and FY 11 operating EPS estimates to $2.27 and $2.51 from $2.57 and $2.82. We are also cutting our DCF-based target price by $2 to $30. However, trading at under 10X our FY 11 EPS estimate and at an EV/EBITDA multiple of about 5X, below peers, we continue to find shares a compelling value.

Re: GME - GameStop Corp. (NYSE Stock)
Yes. Hit $21.17 but I kept a very tight stop and stopped out for 60 cents/share profit at $20.35....back down from $21.17 to $20.30s so I may hop back in...
