The company currently holds one patent for “GPS Footwear” and has an additional 13 patent applications pending.

The gpVector™ technology is supported by a subscriber based firmware platform delivering not only instant location information and movement history of the person or asset but also allowing users to establish a GeoFence around what is being tracked - a customizable perimeter that if breached sends an alert to the user via cell phone or PDA. The connectivity is supported by AT&T and Google Maps Premiere API delivers the real-time geographic coordinates. Establishing these key relationships was a vital accomplishment and has laid the foundation for future growth.

GTX has already signed a multi-million dollar licensing agreement with MyAthlete LLC to provide GPS tracking and training technology to athletes, coaches, sponsors and spectators at various Marathons and Triathlons. On May 8th MyAthlete provided GTX with a 1,000 unit chip order with more expected to come in the near future,

GTXO 2.68, +0.01, +0.4%) today announced the integration of Google Maps(TM) API Premier into the tracking platform of the gpVector(TM) Personal Location Service (PLS) technology. The company's PLS system consists of a matchbook-sized, location-reporting module that utilizes GTX Corp's "always-on" Assisted-GPS tracking capabilities. Cellular transmission services are provided by the company's wireless carrier partner, AT&T, to deliver real-time geographic coordinates, rendered on Google Maps, to subscribers via secure internet connections.
Unlike other element topology-management functions, which rely on static maps or geographic information systems (GIS), Google Maps API Premier provides a rich, interactive interface that includes panning, zooming, satellite images and street-level views (in certain locations).

This capability also allows for the historical travel data (bread crumb trails) to be mapped and preserved for future analysis.
