Default WOW...no other dividend lovers out there?

All you stalkers, join up and post your dividend stocks. I'd love to hear about them as I'm always looking for more.

I like dividends... I bot ALSC for around $5/sh. It's paying $3.75/sh on the 7/17. I found that by following Lloyd Miller III.

I was looking through IBD this morning and found FLA paying $25/sh. It is going through a merger or something. I didn't do the DD because at $85/sh it's put it out of my range. The chart looks like a buyout chart, just like the girls I used to date in high school, flat. :D

Were was this post last month before the record date. Man I would have jump aboard ALSC just for the cash dividends. If you see another one like that be sure to post it with wishels and bells and all that other stuff. Paying 5/sh for three days of holding and getting 3.75 plus 5/share back.. That puts you up 75% in three days. Lets see other companies do that (TDCP.) LOL jk

Evil great spot... This is what this thread is about.

I was watching Miller load up on this in the low $4 range and couldn't figure out why. The company was selling almost everything including the bolted down stuff. Then they announced the div. it went to $5. I then knew why he was loading up the truck. The big speculation is what next after the dividend. It had a nice run w/o the div. this year so hopefully it will run again after the div is paid.

I am sorry I didn't say something earlier. I did not see this thread until after the ex date. My main technique is following insiders. I didn't think the Dividend play would appeal to the Micro Cap speculators. I now know there is a thread for it and will post when I come across them.

Now, how do you do that? I am under the impression that this is going to adjust after the Payable date by something close to the amount of the dividend.

Here is what I read about this: This is from Yahoo.com

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alliance Semiconductor Corporation (Pink Sheets:ALSC - News) announced today that its Board of Directors declared a special one-time cash dividend of $3.75 per share. The dividend is payable July 17, 2007 to shareholders of record as of July 6, 2007.

Now unless you have read something else about it, this is saying that for every share you had on July 6, 2007 you will get $3.75 cash dividend. So for myself I would have bought this stock on the 1st. of July ( because of the SEC's T+3 rule states that all stock trades must be settled within 3 business days). Then I would have sold it on the 7th of July. That way I would have got my shares for about $5/share and then sold them for about $5/share. I would still get the $3.75 per share on the 17th.

To bad that I missed this one...
