Poll Question
I have been wanting to start a poll section but haven't did it yet. So I'll throw a few out from time to time.

Re: Poll Question
Where are all the Obama folks...??? (P.S. - Im not one of them....nor am I a McCain supporter - I don't toe party lines)...
Perhaps an endorsement (well, probably as close as one will get) from the Ol' US Communist Party ought to bring out all those Obama supporters....perhaps....
The cpusa does say in another article that they do NOT endorse BO and give further explantions about their feelings...
I do not think for one second that BO is a communist, but I do believe that they (the cpusa members) are sympathetic to his messages. Personally, I think both of the major two candidates are frauds and do not subscribe to either of the two major party's current platforms....and NO, I do not play the "lesser evil" game any longer.
Edit- Hmm...whom might the lone "other" voter be...?
Good Luck.

News3Online is your breaking news center
There is another choice that should be added to this Poll!

Sarah Palin
As a Libertarian/Conservative - actually I'll proudly admit to being a bit of a cross between a paleoconservative and classical liberal - I'm quite pleased with Sarah Palin as the Neo-Rethuglican VP pick. I do not fully subscribe to her views on abortion or gay rights as I think these things are best left to the states to decide nor do I subscribe to her feelings on creationism but overall, I'm very pleased with the decision. Yes, as some may have already put the puzzle together, I'm a Dr. Paul guy and I was an advocate for a Paul/ Palin (or Sanford or Powell) ticket last fall but that pipe dream didn't work out this go round....
...I can't find myself pulling the lever for a McCain/Palin ticket, but I hope Palin gets some good exposure with this cycle and does well enough to put her in a better position for the cycles to come.
At least this election will be a bit more interesting from a dramatical point of view. A rally for the republic this week will be nice (no, not the Republican Convention, but the alternate one ) but my thoughts and prayers will be with those down in the gulf region instead.

I agree that while the his choice was a surprise it seems to be a good one. I like Palin for the exact reasons you disagree with her on..... I will vote McCain just to vote against Obama but I'm not overly happy to vote at all this time.

Re: Poll Question
On a side note Grizz,
The media is trying their best to elect their Golden child Obama and its getting crazy. I just thought they were in love with Bill Clinton but they have taken it to a new level. I have never seen a candidate get this type of media coverage.

More power to you brother. I am a "states rights" person when it comes to delicate issues like these. I just do not think "morality" issues need to be legislated from the federal bench, so to speak. I do not believe I am righteous enough to parlay my personal beliefs on the nation as a whole, its just that simple for me. I am also a "big tent" thinker in that I am open to further discussions on all of these types of difficult issues. I am principled, but try to remain open. I do my best (even given my personal biases) to keep my heels from digging into partisan trenches too deep, ya know?
What do I "principally" stick to? My contract with my government, the U.S. Constitution, and the process to amend it if my country - as a republic and in a democratic fashion - elects to do so. <-- My hope is just that the citizens of this country can get out of having an "R" or a "D" or a "G" or a "C" or a "S" or an "L" besides their name and learn to think critically, and independantly of eachother, the political parties and of their state run media.
