Friends if I had known this morning what was about to take place I would brought this play to the board but I was out the biggest part of the day and wasn't able to post.
I have been just looking for stocks that have been almost destroyed by the current market and have did fairly well this week. I did take a thrashing today on a couple of stocks but XL made up the difference and kept me even.

I bought in this morning @ 4.15 and 4.23 after looking at the chart last night. For some reason this baby took off about mid morning and never looked back. I'm still holding all and may even add a few.

Todays close was at 5.43 and it tapped 5.90 for a high. The 52 week low is 3.49 which was yesterday and the 52 week high is 81.60 on 10-11-07.

XL 5.43, +1.42, +35.4%) , whose shares fell more than 50% on Thursday, said early Friday that it expects its book value at the end of the third quarter was $21 to $22.50 a share. The stock closed at $4.01. XL said that's based on about 330.8 million shares outstanding at the need of the quarter. The company also revealed that the value of its investment portfolio fell between $1 billion and $1.20 billion in the third quarter. "We are determined to provide investors with the information they need to assess the value of XL's shares," CEO Michael McGavick said in a press release. XL said it would hold a conference call on Tuesday to discuss financial results.

As bad as I hated to I sold half today but I'm now kicking myself. Just went over 8.00 in after hours.

Thanks Tau!!! I ended up selling out at 12.55 today. Too much green there not to grab it.

If it makes a nice pull back I might try it again
