Idea for you guys!

I know a while back I read on here that a chat room was being discussed. Well I ran across a forum for my new motorcycle and found what I think would be perfect for this site.

So its at this site if you wanna get a visual. zx6e.net forums

They call it writing on the wall and it is a really awesome function.
I think it would benefit all of us at SMC.

I like that, you work fast. How long did it take to setup and what all do you have left to fine tune?

I really like it. I have a few other suggestions for it also but wil give some time to get it settled in.

to be honest it took longer to get the quick search on top of the forum lol. i was tired of having to go into the advanced search to just look at titles. still tweaking how i have the chat box working. trying to get the best set up that is still good for everyone to use but is not to server intense. i think it will be great for day trading. i just hope people do post in stock market threads because content is what is gonna help with the Search Engine Optimization on the site and that has been the main thing i been working on

can you make the chat box have a link to open in a new window.. it would be like a im box kindof

you can make the chat box on a page of its own. just click on the red arrow on the top left of the box next to where it says chat box and select full screen. me i like the little one

also chat is only viewable to members. non members will not even know it is their

is there a way to make a "new posts" icon in each subforum, Going through all of teh RSS feeds inder new posts is a little inconvenient for my taste as a user.?

I also find it a little congested when clicking on new posts and so many news feeds come in...It makes it hard to locate the other stock posts......Don't get me wrong, it is cool to see all the new stories flying in, I see a lot of headlines that I definitely wouldn't see otherwise. That being said, I think the ideal improvement, in a perfect scenario, would be to have a separate box for unread newsfeed threads and a separate stock posting box for unread stock posts.....If that is not possible then making the newsfeeds not appear in the new posts section would be a second option....Just my thoughts on it, but overall, everything is very nice!

to the left of every forum thier is a green book. if the book is dark green it means no new posts. if the book is light green it means thier are new posts. you can double click the light green books to make them dark green then they will automatically change after you read new posts.

rss feeds will not show under new posts. they will be updated no change their i just have it so when you hit new posts only new member posts will show
