Young Guns of SMC!

Figured I would start a thread for all of us youngin's. No offense to the elder gentlemen on here, as their knowledge is what makes SMC the great site that it is. Basically just want to know what brought you to the great game of trading stocks and how old you are. Any other interests are cool too. I guess we can use the age of 29 and under.

I am 23 and have been fascinated by the stock market since a class I had sophomore year in High School. I didn’t start trading until last August(2007). I have been trying to absorb as much information as possible ever since my first interests in the market. My love for trading stocks stems from the interests I have in investing and entrepreneurship. I am also in the middle of getting some Real Estate investments started.

Anyone over 30 feel free to post up, just thought it would be interesting to see how many 20s and under people are on here.

You know you are right, we are very similar. Your story about your first time investing is funny to me because my first few trades were positive and I was also up around 30%. Of course I then also went on to lose it all

Lets hope we can break that trend and keep things positive from here on out! Great to see another young guy around here with similar interests.

Oh and thats crazy that you got involved in some Real Estate as well! Did you go in on a house with your dads friend or did he just mentor you on doing it on your own?
