GLD - SPDR Gold Trust (ETF)
Cramer likes this play, he was pumping it last night as much safer than betting on miners. I see it as very similar to IAU. Inflation is just around the corner IMO, gold is at a low and I think it's a good time to start thinking about some sort of position.

Re: GLD - SPDR Gold Trust (ETF)
Still holding down a bit. This is a healthly correction for gold setting the stage for a new high IMO. The pullback was much needed and sends a clear buy signal for the long player.

Re: GLD - SPDR Gold Trust (ETF)
Guess we agree, we are holding this morning. But we do see some correction coming near term. In fact it would be healthy for the bulls case.

Re: GLD - SPDR Gold Trust (ETF)
Given Europe is shaking the markets, I think we'll see gold over $2000 very, very soon. Also consider the news out on the Swiss Franc, that sent more investors looking for gold. I think we'll see a healthy profit taking correction at that $2000 psychological number. The next correction will then set the stage for another new high. Gold is going to continue to run until the financial markets stabilize, Europe is "fixed" and the world economy bottoms.

Re: GLD - SPDR Gold Trust (ETF)
I guess it all depends on a traders time frame. But's it's obvious.....we knew we should have taken profits on Tuesday. Sure, gold will move higher long term. But real profits come from trading, not investing. And we blew this one.
One of my favorite gold writers is David Banister....He gets us back on track today with his latest article > Is This Bull Market In Gold Over With Double Top?
For now we sit on our position!

Re: GLD - SPDR Gold Trust (ETF)
Sorry we didn't keep up on this thread, felt lucky to have sold our position on the morning of the 21st. Sidelines are fine for me right now, eyeing 1705.40 as a point to enter long and short positions with tight stops.
Any thoughts?
