Default Online Savings Account question...

What are you using and would you stick with them or choose another one if you could do it over again?

I'm looking for an online savings account that I can have money deposited in directly out of my paycheck. I'm fine with a minimum required deposit of $1,000 or under before the higher interest rate kicks in. I've looked briefly at HSBC, ING Direct, & Emigrant Direct but I thought I'd get some feedback before picking one. Any input would be great!

Thanks!

I have an ING Account. I've had it for about 4 1/2 years.. Been great.. Once you deposit money into it, it does have a 7 day hold, then when you want to withdraw, it takes about 2 days. Great way for savings. Not super easy access for spontaneous buying, but quick enough for emergencies.. Right now the rate is 2.75% and that's the lowest i've had.. I've been as high as around 5%. You can also get Cd's and they have a thing called Sharebuilders for investing. Anyway, I'd definiately recommend ING.. Hope this helps...

I too use ING. Besides the high interest rate (compared to B&M), they pay you the interest MONTHLY. For a payroll deduction, all you have to do is schedule automatic withdraws from your linked account...that's all I do. Plus, the usually have nice prize drawings every year for those that deposit at least $100 per month.

If you want a referral, send me a PM with your name and email address. Last I checked, you'll get a free $25 deposit with the referral and I'll get $10.
