This one is trading near its 52 week low and looking like it might be worth a few shares. The 52 week low is 1.83 and the high is 15.28. APP closed Christmas Eve @ 1.86.
EDIT: The more I read about American Apparel the more I like this company. Something finally made in the U.S.A. and exported around the world.

American Apparel shares reach new low as analyst lowers estimate after financing change


NEW YORK (AP) -- Shares of American Apparel Inc. hit a new low on Monday, after an analyst said the company will have to pay more for financing, after it changed some terms of a credit agreement, and lowered his estimates and price target on the apparel retailer.



The stock declined 11 cents, or 4.8 percent, to $2.19, after earlier reaching an all-time low of $2.02. Shares have traded between $2.23 and $15.28 during the past year.

On Friday, the company said it changed terms of its revolving credit and second-lien credit facilities to extend maturities of the loans for three months. The clothing retailer said the amendments give it the ability to operate while looking for more longer-term financing with its lenders and other parties.

Lazard Capital Markets analyst Todd Slater said the financing change basically amounts to extended financing granted under tougher terms. He lowered estimates on the company due to the increased cost of financing and lower retail and sales estimates.

He now expects 2009 earnings of 51 cents per share, down from 60 cents per share. Analysts polled by Thomson Financial, on average, predict a profit of 52 cents per share.

"Though we believe American Apparel operates a resilient and geographically diversified model, heightened sensitivity to the weakening global macroeconomic conditions can't be ignored," wrote Slater, who rates the company "Buy."

He lowered his price target to $14 from $17.

Months later the two became partners.[6] In 2000 American Apparel moved into its current factory in downtown Los Angeles. The company also operates a dye house and knitting facility located in Los Angeles.[7]

After its success as a wholesale brand, the company moved into the retail market. The company was ranked 308th in Inc. Magazine's 2005 list of the 500 fastest growing companies in the United States, with a 440% three-year growth and revenues in 2005 of over US$ 211 million.[8]

In late 2006 American Apparel announced a reverse merger, in which Endeavor Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company founded in July 2005, bought the company for $360 million.[9][10] The merger closed in December 2007, at which point American Apparel became a publicly traded company.[11] As a result, Charney became the President and Chief Executive Officer of the publicly traded company known as American Apparel, Inc. He remained the majority shareholder, and all employees of American Apparel were given 500 shares of stock in the new company.[12][13]

It is also one of the few companies exporting 'Made in the USA' goods and in 2007 sold about $125 million dollars of domestically manufactured clothing outside of America

So far APP is off to a swell start. I might have jumped in but the volume on Monday of less than 75K had me worried. They reset their 52-week low on Monday at $1.55 but closed today at $1.99, up about 29% from the low.

APP hired a **** star named Sasha Grey to model their clothes. Apparently investors got really eXXXcited
