Default Question About GM stock

Last price I looked this morning was 2.79. If one bought 2k shares of this, then when they start selling the new 09 Camaro next month, do you think that the stock would have a good chance of raising up somewhat? Or would all the loan interst eat up all their profits? Im not thinking long term, buy and sell once the hype from the 09 camaro starts to die off. Also do you think selling this stock would be a problem? Im new to the stock market and any advice would be really helpful.

Welcome to SMC!

My advice....do NOT buy GM stock. The Camaro introduction will have no effect whatsoever on the stock price. GM stock is completely driven by factors completely unrelated to their model line-up.

If you're looking to trade in the market, take your time, read and study...make sure you fully understand investing/trading. There's thousands of better stock choices than GM if you're just looking for a quick in/out trade.

Are you interested in long or short term stocks? You need to figure out your objectives before you spend.
