On a run of late, lots of talk saying it's under-valued:

S - Sprint Nextel Corporation has higer lows and higher highs. trrow in a possible trendlinebreak,cup pattern and nice candlestick setup and we should see S make a higher high and challenge the PPS just under $4.50. The next level of resistance would be around $5.00

Sprint made a nice move and closing in on the cup pattern.

Down over 15% on the ATT buyout of T-Mobile.

Was thinking about buying on this dip but a couple flags:

1) Last 4 qtrs losing cash, looks to bleeding badly
2) 85% institutional ownership. If some of these decide to drop out, the share price could almost evaporate....scary to me.

The stock seems to have jumped a little on news of a possible merger with Deutsche Telecomm. That would definitely give it some much needed power and financing. They definitely have some great phones, but it will take some serious build up of their network to stay competitive. This play looks like a gamble, waiting for merger.

With the talk of an IPhone for Sprint, who thinks Sprint might be a good play?

Close today - $3.45

It could be that everyone who wants one, already moved to AT&T/Verizon. However, Sprint still has an unlimited data plan, which people may jump over to.

I think that if sales are strong for the iphone, the stock will pop making a good short term play.

I haven't done any DD on Sprint for a long time, but the stock price is attractive and, besides the iPhone rummor, they could be a take-over target. Google or MS could easily buy them with cash and have a quick provider for Android or Windows phone.
