Biopack Environmental Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ over-the-counter symbol: BPAC) has been in the environmentally sound packaging business since 1995. Biopack uses readily renewable agricultural waste to create value-added packaging products normally made from plastic or paper. Biopack’s products are 100 percent biodegradable, recyclable, sustainable and compostable.
In 2000, Biopack expanded into the food packaging markets in Europe, Asia, and the United States under the brand name “Roots Biopack.” Since then, “Roots Biopack” has become a premium brand providing total eco-friendly packaging solutions. The company’s services range from product design and development to product testing for quality control, to assurance, sales and marketing, and manufacturing.
In 2007, as a result of the demand for Biopack’s eco-friendly packaging, Biopack built a production facility called “Biopark” in Jiangmen, China. “Biopark,” located on a 6.7-acre factory site, is equipped with Biopack’s proprietary, fully automated manufacturing machines and is devoted entirely to producing eco-friendly packaging.
