Default Investing in Silver

Spot price is WAY, WAY down. Anyone else thinking of investing in silver while it's beaten down? I'm watching it closely, it may just hit the $10/oz range at this pace. I think a lot of people are flooding the market with it trying to cover some margin calls. Anyone else?

Hi Badthad
it is quite some time that I had intention to buy into those "commodities".... but sometime I follow miners that extract that... at the same time from here (Milan) it is complicated to buy gold or silver

for info

Quote:
For a second straight day, gold futures finished slightly lower. Traders were dealing with developments related to the U.S. economy and the financial markets, leaving December gold to match Monday's drop of 30 cents to finish the day at $666.20 an ounce. The intraday high for the precious metal stood at $669.10 an ounce. News that foreclosures rose sharply in July gave one analyst cause to posit that the "much hoped for 'soft landing' is not materializing," which could give the safe-haven demand for gold reason to support the precious metal. Other metals followed gold lower, with September silver dropping 22.5 cents to $11.51 an ounce. September palladium and copper both dropped as well, while October platinum bucked the trend and added $4 an ounce.
it worth to keep an eye..

Here it's very, very easy to buy silver. I have a local coin dealer that sells bullion from bars to coins at just a small premium over spot. I could go there today and buy 1000 ounces if I wanted. IMO, this would be a great investment for anyone, no matter how much or how little cash you have. At $11 an oz, even my daughter could afford some. LOL

I'm keeping a close eye on this market and I just might horde a little more (I have some in my coin collection already).

Please check out the chart history for silver, this is just a dip during a pretty big price hike for the last few years. That's why I think silver is a good investment:

Personally, I'm not too intested in gold ATM. Silver is the HOT buy according to everything I've been reading and dicussing with my local coin shop.

I can't make out anything on the Italian website. LOL I'm not nearly as gifted as you are.
